The pillars of Islam

the five pillars of Islam are the essence of the life of a Muslim: the testimony of faith, prayer, give Zakat (poor relief), fasting during the month of Ramadan and the pilgrimage to Mecca once in the lifetime of those who they have the potential to do so.

1) The testimony of the faith:

the testimony of faith is faith and conviction to say "LAA ilaaha ill-Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah" means "there is no God but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allaah." The first part of the test means that no one has the right to be worshipped but God and that God has no partner or son. This testimony of faith is called the testimony of faith, a simple formula that must be said with conviction to convert to Islam. The testimony of faith is the most important pillar of Islam.

2) Prayer: Muslims pray five prayers daily each prayer does not last more than a few minutes to carry out. Prayer in Islam is a direct connection between God and the believer. There are no intermediaries between God and believer prayer. In, you will feel an inner peace, happiness, which is comforting, and that God is pleased with her or him. The Prophet said: {Oh, Bilal! Confortad us with prayer.} Bilal was one of the companions of the Prophet who was responsible for calling people to prayer prayer. The carried out at dawn, noon, mid-afternoon, sunset and night. The Muslim Prayer can be done anywhere, such as fields, factories, offices, universities, etc

3) give Zakat (help for the needy):

all things belong to God, and wealth, has been in the hands of humans only in confidence. The original meaning of the word Zakat is 'purifying' and 'growth'. Giving Zakat means "give a percentage specified on certain properties to certain classes of people in need."The rate, which is in gold, silver and cash that has reached the amount (or its equivalent in cash) about 85 grams of gold and has not been used for a lunar year is 2.5 percent. Our possessions are purified by reserving a small portion of our income for the needy, and as trimming a tree, the Court of balances and encourages new growth.Person can also give as much as you want through the alms or charity.

4) The fasting of the month of the Ramadancada year, during the (lunar) month of Ramadan, all Muslims fast from dawn until sunset that abstaining from fasting from food, drink and sex.Although is beneficial for health, is considered (by the Muslims) mainly as a method of spiritual self-purification, since the same refrain from the comforts of earthly life, even for a short period of time, fasting creates great sympathy for those who suffer from hunger, while you grow in your spiritual life.

5) Pilgrimage to the meco:br the annual pilgrimage (Hajj) to Mecca is an obligation for once in life, for people with physical and financial means to do it. Around two million people go to Makkah each year from every corner of the planet. Although Makkah is always full of visitors, the annual Hajj begins in the twelfth month of the Islamic calendar. Male pilgrims wear special and simple shape (two pieces of fabric) to make disappear any cultural distinction or class. A way of helping us present before God without differences.
